Perhaps the weyanes can remove him out of power for good. Certainly, it not because he loves them more than Amharas. Amharas have far more population.another reason could be that he is afraid of Amharas because of their population size. He wants to keep Minilik palace for good. BTW, the Weyanes have far better connections to the outside world.
