Many people talk about the climate crisis to explain tragic events.
Even though attributing the climate crisis to natural variability and human effect due to higher greenhouse emissions is a complex research, there are simple intuitions.
Cyclic moon phases and associated tide levels happen naturally.
Understandably, scientists do not want to be proven wrong. Paradoxically, they can’t uncover new ideas without experimenting with and validating new ideas.
There are oral stories that animals are responsive to full moon. Scientists can prove or disprove it by doing experiments. It takes research.
New researchers who are interested and have resources for this research may uncover more new ideas by focusing on meteorological variability during different phases of the moon and noticing if these tragic events are in phase or out of phase.
In phase suggests natural variability due to orbital forcing. Out of phase points to the climate crisis.
