They left us. They are gone. They should stop using our name, Gurage. They are Meqans. They are Sodos. They are Siltes. They should be proud of their names and claim it. They should stop saying they are Gurage. They are not. They left Gurage unforced by Gurage. On their own. They should remain in their terrotory.

They should be proud of their current names Mesqan Sodo and Silte until they change them for a dime, for a penny. Once, Mesqan was Betezamora, Sodo was Alamale, Aymelel, and Kistane runs concurrent with Sodo, and Silte was Sufgamo. Sodo will drop Kistane if Amara gets weaker and weaker politically.

Let them claim their identity but they don't have. They should start creating their identity. Gurage identity is not theirs. They should stop wearing Gurage identity because they are not. They left Gurage on their own volition.

They may spoil the Gurage achievement just for a short time gain. But tomorrow will be a different day. Every thing changes and nothing static. PP/OPDO will go and one day some one will remind them of their deeds.

I would appreciate any new info on that.

Still, Gurage Unity will suffer the damages because of the revitalized narrow dialect nationalisms of Mesqan and Sodo.
To give them the impression of a nation to grow to greatness like Amara, Oromo by dwarfing Gurage and hopefully absorbing it in the long run. It's not the first time in history that a smaller but well-greased minority has absorbed a larger and unorganized majority if continued support to the predatory minority is maintaindd. The unlikely scenario is that Sebatbet being absorbed by Sodo rather than Mesqan. Mesqan has the neighborhood, thd numbers and resources, not less than Chaha.
There is no secret behind their malicious backtabbings, intrigues, dishonesty and disloyalty, not once but many times in history other than to belittle, to marginalize, eventually absorb Gurage to bolster the Mesqan/Sodo combo. What is vividly obvious before our eyes is that they are assured by Abiy Ahmed that they will be helped to disregard Gurage boldly, rebel against it, proclaim their dialect autonomy proudly. Consquencese of this divisive action remains to be interpreyed subjectively.

I fully agree with you that after PP, and when reconstructions is carried, amends may be offeted to mend differences and damages. But that remains a naive hope.
