If you thought such a game existed only in sport's discipline, then you missed a lot! Relay exists in politics too, as newly disclosed by the so called Ethiopian inept politicians.

Faandoo led by an inept guy in the name of Eskinder Nega stated publicly that its political agenda is based on the premise of "Departure Amhara, Destination Ethiopia" (መነሻችን አማራ፣ መድረሻችን ኢትዮጵያ, as we all remember).

The guy in the name of Jawar Mohammed has also publicly called for "Ethiopia out of Oromia" already before that (implying his group's goal is to see an independent Oromia). Here the premnise is "መነሻችን ኢትዮጵያ፣ መድረሻችን ኦሮሚያ", as the simple logic dictates.

Now when we see the two camps are forging coordination and collaboration (both sides have revealed the plan), it is not difficult to infer precisely what is in store for Ethiopia. Faandoo will finish its part of the task after weakening Ethiopia and Jaanjoo will ensue with his own remaining part of the task of finishing off Ethiopia and establishing an independent Oromia, where he will be crowned the King, using a Relay game from the sport's discipline and the players his own group and Faandoo.

Faandoo will be given its own Departure as thanks for the effort it invested in the whole business.

I think Ermias has got it wrong if he really believes Jawar has changed his position, Jawar's intention has been and still is the creation of Republic of Oromia through the creation of semblance of united Ethiopia first (as a means). I have said that Jawar's position is at best ambiguous or outright manipulative maneuvering at worst towards the same goal of creating Oromia, where he can rule uncontested. There is no way that a dictator can rule over united Ethiopia in the name of a given ethnic group, be that the biggest chunks like Oromos and Amharas or anybody else. Jawar can ensure his ambition of becoming uncontested dictator only after the creation of debilitated Oromia. Ermias seems to have fallen for Jawar's maneuvering and seems to think that Jawar has changed his mind. That is wrong in my view.
