OLF’s Mission: Deconstruct Amapia (Amaranet Dominated Ethiopia) and Reconstruct Oropia (Oromummà Led Ethiopia)!
It seems that Oromo struggle has made an effective paradigm shift from the goal of an independent Oromia to vision of an integrative Oropia (Oromummà led Ethiopia). The journey of this transformation of Amapia (Amaranet dominated Ethiopia) to Oropia started about 50 years ago by forming the OLF. This vanguard organization could effectively redirect the trajectory of Oromo elites developmental strive. Starting from the era of Yekunoamlak, Oromo elites were competing to be the best Amara, thus caused many Oromos lose their identity and become Abesha. In such process, Oromos in Abyssinia became Amarigna and Tigrigna speakers. The OLF created the mindest of bilisumma/freedom causing Oromo elites to be proud of their Oromummà, instead of striving to own Abeshanet in general and Amaranet in particular. Now, most Oromo elites are free from slave mentality of wishing to be more Amara than the native Amaras. Only the ruling hybrid prosperitans led by Dr. Abiy are still revering Amaranet/Amarigna, instead of respecting Oromiffà/Oromummà. That is why they are yet trying to hinder the legitimate promotion of Afàn Oromo to primary working language of all federal institutions like the palace, parlament, cabinet, court, military and security. They know that such promotion is tantamount to effective transformation of Amapia to Oropia. I hope that genuine Oromo nationalists with OLF’s mindest of bilisummà shall prevail and complete the already started job of deconstructing Amapia and reconstructing Oropia in the near future.
