Remorsefullness comes with some level of humility

Post by DefendTheTruth » 25 Dec 2024, 05:04

On the contrary remorselessness is a companion of human arrogance, arrogance against the mass in this case!

Undoubtedly Jawar Mohammed has been either directly or indirectly the cause of the death of too many innocent Ethiopians in the last few years and beyond. No one with a right mind can deny this fact. The death of innocents is an instance of a remorse for those with some degree of human humility. On the other hand when the cause of the death turn back and declare "I don't remorse" then our collective intelligence has been insulted, we are demonized, no matter if we get it or miss it.

Many people have been expressing their concerns with regard to the overwhelming overtake of mob-politics in the country in the last few years, which has by now overtaken political activism as a means to rob the people and enrich itself in different forms. The mob is openly arming itself and use the violence to rob and maim, kill and displace innocent citizens in many different parts of the country. Too many citizens are suffering under the mob-politics in the country currently.

Mob-politics is characterized, among others, in the absence of winning one's cause through the means of arguments, it avoids deliberately arguments and instead opts to appeal to the emotions of the mass.

The use of emotions is the preferred way of politicking in their engagement. For example they come to the scene of public gatherings and shout "Jirtu..?, Jirtu...?" repeatedly and then on the discussion table itself they don't present any compelling argument, instead if anything else, then they start collecting money from those in the gathering. The mobs and their leaders do live on the sweat labor of the others. Jawar Mohammed has never been a paid employee in the whole of his life, he did never get a pay-slip in the whole of his life but still he lives one of the most luxurious lives of any individual on the planet. He lives on the sweat of the rest! How long should we wait before we can finally wake up and say: enough is enough?

Jawar Mohammed is a head of big chunk of the mobs in our country, which has caused already a major damage in terms of human lives and properties. Still this guy came back to the scene after few years absence from political scenes to tell his mob to have written a memoir titled "I have no remorse" and now trying to stir violence once more using the same old social media to appeal to the same sheer emotions of the same body of mass mobs. In doing so the man has shown us, once more in clear terms, that he lacks human humility and any form of modesty to show a remorse.

Ethiopians of all colors have been asked now if they are prepared to silently allow the disgruntled creatures among them can wreck havoc in the society once more and the lives of many more citizens should perish, in addition to the unnecessary damage of public and private properties of the nation's dire resources, or they are prepared to rise up and say unequivocally "Not in my name", "Never again"!.
