They are not brilliant in being able to clean their home and open Eritrea for business with neighboring countries and the world at large.

Yeah, the top investments (funds wise) are linked to government officials. But most of the small investors such as shop, cafe etc owners and rental investors are independent Eritreans. Many Eritreans who have worked for 30 or 40 years in Arab countries do not have pensions in their host countries. Under normal conditions, they would go to their home country and invest their savings in haulage vehicles for hire or corner shops. But Isaias has made Eritrea inhospitable to Eritreans. So they go to African countries with easy visas and conducive business environments.
