one of them is a member of PP. PP has essentially become an over-dominant party in the country, no one can challenge this party in the near-future by any means. It will be the Ethiopian version of China's CPC.
There is no way for the inept and power mongering so called Ethiopian opposition parties to come to power for the foreseeable future. Both paths they have been envisaging as a road to power have become oblivious by now. These were through transitional government or if possible trickery filled with all sorts of conspiracies, including the killing of innocent citizens, of many sorts in the name of elections.
They can try both but it remains just a waste of time and energy.
RIP Ethiopian Opposition for a while, at least not before Jaanjoo Mohammed will turn 80.
He could join PP itself and try his chances, but very unlikely to compete against the senior and respected members of the party and succeed. He is an imbecile actor, who wishes somebody will count the number of Oromos in the country and handover power to him as this is proportionally the largest in the country (they (his camp) have been calling for something "majority rule, minority rights" which is to be inherited by blood composition). There is no more Jaanjoo than this. TPLF also tried to use them in this regard but failed miserably.
Amhara activists are still day-dreaming that they will be entitled to power on a merit of "forefather's palace" and they become the laughing stock of the world.
I have little idea about what has come of the guy you call Jaanjo ever since I approached him to advise him that he make focusing on advancing his education his priority in order to go far. I parted my way at a moment’s notice after I felt that I was not understood.
I thought and wished that he would end up a Dr. Jawar sooner than later. To this day, I wonder if he thought that walking on the campus of Stanford University would provide him the silver bullet to solve Ethiopia’s political problems.
That is not my issue here.
I have one question about what you called the Ethiopian version of China’s CP.
Does it resonate with Ethiopia’s age old family values? In my thinking about it, if every family is royal unto itself, the country becomes one of royalties. By extension, if every country of the world is royal unto itself, the entire world would become that of royalties.
Is the structure of meeting 5 or 6 people in Addis Ababa or Ethiopia consistent with the head of the family structure in Ethiopia’s civilization or that characters like you, who are evidently subconscious about it, restructured it randomly without considering መቃ አባ?
It is not without a reason that አባ አበሉ is an age old consciousness in our country and region.
So, the simple question that you and people like you should ask themselves is if your random walk in Addis Ababa or Ethiopia is consistent or reconcilable with Ethiopia’s age old family values.
