BTW, He had far more right to lead Ethiopia than Haile Sellasie did. He is far more closer to Ethiopian royalty more than Haile Sellasie was. He was born and raised in Asmara, hence he is Eritrean . He led EPLF all the way to independence. You can call that short biography of Isayas Afewerqi.

Sha-bea is the staunch enemy of Ethiopia. It tried everything it could to destroy Ethiopia and exploit the spoils but failed.

The only reason Issaias hates the Weyanie Tigrayans is because they snatched victory from his clutches in 1991. Issaias spent more time and energy to change the politics of Ethiopia than any group but he was relegated to tiny and poor Eritrea. Meles and Sibhat Nega were very smart to push Eritrea and Issaias aside to a small and poor Eritrea by recognizing its independence. Issaias had always wanted to be the real king of Ethiopia with all its resources and the millions of man power. This anger was the Badme war about. Issias does not care about Eritrea or its people. In fact Issaias is angry at Eritreans for choosing to live in this tiny space with very little people.
In his death bed, Issaias will keep on cursing Meles and the Weyanes forever for the chance and history he lost to be the leader of the entire Horn of Africa by riding on Ethiopia. Imagine, if Issaias can burn the Horn of Africa with little Eritrea, what could he have done with more than 120 million Ethiopia and its resources in his hands. Politically Issaias was outsmarted by Meles and Sibhat Nega.
