There is no applause emoji but salut to the decision and the people who enforced it. The use of khat flourished during the agame tenor and it is was about time to bann it.

Haraghe which was known for growing coffee and exporting it to the whole world is now known for Khat. Many Coffee farms have been converted into Khat farms in the past 60 years. Just like Harari Coffee became popular in Yemen so did Harari Khat

Harari Khat has taken over Yemen

Most entertainment consumable have certain health risks plus crimes at the same time they are elements of the national economy. For example:

1. Cigarettes, addictive nicotine forming habit, lung congestion in long term use, smell and apetite loss. A regulated business. Revenue source for individuals and gov.
2. Alcohol, addictive, high cholesterol, thought-alteration, poor judgement, unhinged, erratic and emotional behavior, associated with crimes and car accidents. A regulated business. Revenue source for individuals and gov.
3. Cocaine, deadly to the user and individuals related to the addict. Theft, burglary, prostitution, suicides, homicides. Illegal. Underground economy. Not taxed. Only the criminals benefit from it.
4. Ccat, Qat, Khat. Its effect on human body has been compared to the effect of coffee. Just life, appetite and loss is attributed to it. Not mind-altering, not judgement influencing as alcohol or cocaine or cannabis
A regulated business. Taxed and a source gov revenue.

Fano is econmically a fool. Judicially, firde-gemdil. Inconsistent in its social policy.

2. Alcohol, adictive, high colestrol, thought-alteration, poor judgement, unhinged, erratic and emotional behavior, associated with crimes and car accidents. A regulated business. Revenue source for individuals and gov.
3. Cocaine, deadly to the user and individuals related to the addict. Theft, burglary, prostitution, suicides, homicides. Illegal. Underground economy. Not taxed. Only the criminals benefit from it.

Weloye Ustaz Abubekr advised the Ethiopian government to embrace certain aspects of Shariah Law

As according to my logic certain parts of Shariah law are good for Amhara. For example the secular system that dealt with the case of Heaven failed to punish the rapist/murderer

Only Shariah style law can punish outlaws and rapists which are punishment are native to our culture.

Its Karma.
An Amara guy, a refugee in Gurage, displaced by Shene, raped a Gurage girl child. He is serving 15 years.
A Tigray guy raped killed an Amara child.
Its Karma. You reap what you saw. Live with it.

Funny

I thought you were Muslim injustice is injustice anywhere and everywhere and heaven is half Tigrayan.

You know karma is a Hindu teaching right?

If karma was real your Gurage tribe would own Lake Zway to Lake Wonchi the Oromo would not be able to steal your lands as they are doing right now in Sodo as they have done so for 400 years

Yep, Karma. You reap what you sow. That's what it means in Hindi. The Gurage child raped by a criminal adult Amara refugee has been avenged.
