I've told you many times that it's not about signature, turning the unlawful MoU into an agreement, or recognising this mindless breakaway region as a country but materialising it - entering this region and owning the purported coastal land and start building it.

Somaliman, I do not believe Ethiopia will proceed with such a course of action; it seems more likely a strategy of intimidation against the Somali government. However, let us consider the possibility that they might move forward. How, then, could we effectively prevent it and stop them since the mindless enclave is willing to open the doors ? While it is clear that they cannot claim ownership over what is undeniably Somali sovereign territory, how can we practically stop them? They may attempt to occupy it temporarily, but I am confident that the people will inevitably rise up in resistance. Apart from, as you've said it, ordinary Somalis rising up and organising themselves to protect their ancestral lands, according to the National Committee for the Defence of Sovereignty and Territorial Integrity, the Somali government has carefully and strategically put in place its plans against any move from Ethiopia. I've heard this from Cabdiraxmaan Yuusuf Caynte who's a member of this committee. Faysal Rooble too is a member of this.

If tomorrow, the MOU were to fail, Ethiopia could still recognize SLR, period. Or any other country can recognize SLR and the next day the legally sovereign SLR can sign the MOU. Somaliland has a deep and far sighted vision of riding with Ethiopian power house to build a modern day Dubai on their coast. And, we will do what we can to help them achieve it because the return of Ethiopia to Red Sea is not something we forget. Somaliland will forever be a dear friend of Ethiopia and we will return her favor!!!

I don’t think it’s gonne fly. I don’t think the mou is even close to finalising . I think Ethiopia is just using it as a sort of stick against the Somali government . That is the whole purpose of the mou. I have looked every where not a single Ethiopia source say the mou will be implemented apart from ur Indian bff. Not a credible source indeed. I can assure you there is no point for Somaliland to sign an an mou with Ethiopia if it was already recognised. Why would they lease a territory a sovereign part of their land for mere shares in some Ethiopia aircraft company . That couldn’t even keep their name on the website after being pressured . They are desperate in Somaliland for recognition, the one thing you can’t give them . So I don’t think your close to signing any thing . Somalia has every right to sign a defense deal with Egypt it’s free to do so just because you have issues with Egypt doesn’t mean we have issues with Egypt . And there is no indication that the world is opposed to Somali Interest just because we signed a deal with Egypt

If Ethiopia violates Somalia’s sovereignty, Egypt will violate Ethiopian sovereignty. Actually, that is a great opportunity for Egypt to recover the free water it lost few years ago.
