How will the stand-off between Abiy and TPLF thugs end? Who will blink? Will TPLF commit another blunder again?
Abiy has clearly spelled out to the TPLF mafia thugs that they cannot hold a congress without first reapplying to register as a party. Debretsion has made it clear that TPLF will not reapply and will go ahead to hold its meeting! The is similar to what happened 4 years when TPLF held elections in defiance of Abiy. We know how that ended. A million Agames have become fertilizer. Chigray is in shambles. So, will Debretsion commit yet again another blunder and restart war or will he blink. I cannot imagine any scenario in which Abiy can back-track from his clearly stated position. What do you think will happen. Will the two slug it out and destroy each other? We shall see!
