What results can be expected from the EPP meeting?

Post by Yakume » 23 Jan 2024, 18:37

In the past two weeks, Abiy Ahmed has been holding close and open meetings with supporters from his tribe and EPP cadres, but not much is expected on the internal situation and issues, and external relations, except that this will lead to wide changes, but in reality it is very limited (changes in teams and individuals but without change in mandates and plans). Some federal ministers and heads of regional states will be out, but some will be appointed as advisors, commissioners and ambassadors. To mention some, Demeke Mekonnen, Binalf Andualem, Abraham Belay and Ahmed Shide will lose their positions, but will be given rooms in Abiy’s office and next to Daniel Kibret office. Abraham Belay will be appointed ambassador. There will be Deputy PM and Foreign Affairs Minister. Shimelis Abdisa (Oromo) and Mustafa Muhamed (Somali) will move to the federal (security or communication offices or transport).A person close to the OLF (Oromo Liberation Front) will be appointed to the Oromo region. Most of the changes will be with Amhara officials at the federal and regional levels. Afar regional state head not clear but its matter of time.

Oromo plan to annex Somaliland region of Somalia into Oromo region and reach Red Sea (the Memorandum of Understanding with the administration of Somaliland region of Somalia), foreign relations (reactions by the United Nations, European Union, African Union, Arab League and other organizations) all of which condemned Ethiopia's plan to wage war against Somalia, and three Orthodox churches (Oromo, Amhara and Tigray), and FANO (Amhara Liberation Front) / Eritrea relation and Afar militias from Eritrea will be put forward but will not be discussed. These issues will be discussed separately and at other meetings, but everything will be decided and read by Abiy Ahmed. More Oromo and Gurage cadres will be appointed as State Ministers and Deputy Commissioners. New OPDO supporters or with Oromo dynasty (Amaraized or Somalized Oromos) will be appointed in all regions (especially Amhara, Somali and Afar regions). The next step will be reforming the regions and the cadres will be appointed directly by the federal and Abiy Ahmed, and the Somali region will be the first to be reformed. Afar and Oromia regions will be divided into 2-3 areas and annexed to other regions. The Pretoria Agreement with the TPLF will not be discussed, but an OLF/OPDO meeting in Tanzania will be brought.

Here is confirmation of some of what I told you three days ago about EPP meeting. Demeke Mekonnen is gone and many will follow. Don't accuse me of being in the meeting. Never trust Tigray politicians who kiss children and women, whose eyebrows meet in the middle. And also Oromo and Amhara politicians.
