Silence is not an evidence of absence. Somalia will do what it can do. Somalilanders will do what they can do. Nobody has any control over that. This is a world of real politik, everybody has its own interest and will pursue the same in proportion to its power and resources.

I am sure you are not surprised by the level of drama and posturing by all affected. Politics is like a billiard game - you hit one of the balls on the table, all the other pieces move. This is exactly what is taking place - the true nature of politics.

For example, the Issa clan defense minister of Somaliland who is a close friend of Djiboutis president resigned which is to be expected. If Ethiopia secured an alternative port or sea access, that means billions of dollars of loss for Djibouti.

The legitimately independent state of Somaliland signed an agreement with the Ethiopian regime. This is the underlying hard fact. The actual actors are the Ethiopian and Somaliland governments.

Then why is it that the whole drama is framed as a Somalia Ethiopia matter? Where is the Somaliland Republic in this epic drama?

And what is the remittance financed Eritrea doing in this matter of Ethiopia and Somaliland?

What is our historical enemy Egypt that wants to see the disappearance of GERD doing in this matter of Ethiopia and Somaliland?

Alliances, federations, confederations, and what have our have been declared on paper in the HoA just about every 5 years. This is one of them - vacuous emotional orgy of impotent, incompetent, hated, failing, and scared dictators who could not even feed their own people, shameless character who live on the remittances of hard working people, the food had out of the west and back breaking loans of global capitalism.

Somaliland is an independent nation and it has been so for 30 years. This nation entered a deal with another entity which is its inalienable right. That is the issue. All else is temporary noise and drama.
