The current deception by the attention seeking PM and his PeePee gangs telling Ethiopians to celebrate because we have now own a port brings bad memories of the Badme deception.
Aye Abiy, he’s revealing himself as one of the most deceptive, attention seeking liar, and incompetent leaders of all times!
What are the facts known about the MoU:
- No, Ethiopia doesn’t own a port, that’s just a lie
- A lease agreement in which Ethiopia will pay to use a sea outlet for 50 years just like many other countries such as the US, China etc. are using Djibouti sea outlet
- Ethiopia can station it’s 300 navy personnel
- Somaliland will acquire a share of Ethiopia Airlines
- Ethiopia recognizes Somaliland
When one looks at the details, especially the last point, it’s doubtful if Ethiopia will recognize Somaliland. So even the lease agreement can fall apart. Forget owning a port.
The most likely outcome is that Ethiopia will use the Berbera port which is under construction by UAE‘s BP World. No stationing of the Navy and no recognition. This leaves us with something that Ethiopia and Somaliland were working for more than 8 years. There’s nothing new.
