Exactly the ascaris would label anyone that opposes them as an "agame". 
Since they are hopeless they dream we become hopeless like them. But we are too proud, our background does not allow us to be hopeless!
Like you said they think by labeling everyone agame they can creat tension among Ethiopians but little they know Ethiopian are exceptional people, we will surprise them by uniting once more!

Btw, the eritrean government is aware of these backward ascaris. That is why it does not allow them to set foot in Eritrea. Actually, if the government finds ascaris on ER, it will shoot them right through their stupid skull.
