Current day capitalism seems to be on a course to do just that. They told us to have sanctioned Russia but ended up sanctioning themselves, Russia's economy is growing while those of the sanctioning states is in recession essentially.

Capitalism devouring itself, or else what?
I think to have heard something like the final stage of (historical) capitalism's development is just to eat itself, or something very similar.
Current day capitalism seems to be on a course to do just that. They told us to have sanctioned Russia but ended up sanctioning themselves, Russia's economy is growing while those of the sanctioning states is in recession essentially.
