Abiy has done us great service. He has said in the open what Meles has been scheming in secret. Isaias has lost credibility with his 'regional integration' mantra, I don't think he will dare to provoke us with such foolishness again.
While keeping a watchful eye, Eritreans now need to disentangle themselves from Ethiopian affairs. We don't even need to comment on their internal affairs, as to not invite them into our affairs.
It was bye bye in 1991. It has always been bye bye as far as Eritreans were concerned. Isaias confused this with his vision of 'regional integration'. Now thanks to Abiy, it will be a final bye bye, until Ethiopians forget our countries name. And no Eritrean should now tolerate Isaias coming on TV to badmouth our economy, or badmouth Massawa, or tell us we are not unique, when every national identity is based on real and perceived uniqueness. The development of Eritrea, rejuvenation of its cities, rejuvenation of its population growth, building its institutions will have to wait until he departs the scene. A major post-Isiaias agenda of Eritrea should be to quickly refurbish its population, so that we can quickly come in the 20 000 000 level to reverse any demographic bomb.

Re: We don't want to be entangled in Ethiopian affairs
At the same time don't confuse ambition to dominate with regional integration, Isayas is never from the camps of regional integrator, he is against all forms of integration, he wants to dominate. He lacked only what it takes, not the ambition to dominate.
Where are you going to feed those 20 million?
I thought you could be someone who could think somewhat more rationally.
Rationality will never come to the land of Africa's North Korea, I have to conclude.

DTT,
Little Abiyot blew it. His army is collapsing throughout Anhara. Once the soldiers lose faith in their leaders, they have no desire to sacrifice their precious lives. By now it is obvious that Abiy and his Oromo Generals are clueless. No one knows why they started war in Amhara. Today, the economy is collapsing. No one is going to invest in a country that is led by an idiot who imagines that he can simply grab other people's ports because he wants to have one. Even the IMF has refused to lend a few millions. I am afraid that when Fano marches into Addis, there may be blood bath to elimiNate the PP thugs. Will Abiy be there or will he do a Mengistu and cross to Kenya.? We shall see.

True, Isaias is only interested in dominating the region. He has a Tigrigna term for it "ጎብለል ናይዚ ዞባ"DefendTheTruth wrote: ↑26 Nov 2023, 07:59At the same time don't confuse ambition to dominate with regional integration, Isayas is never from the camps of regional integrator, he is against all forms of integration, he wants to dominate. It makes no difference, Eritreans have no interest in "integration" whether genuine or based on personal ambitionDefendTheTruth wrote: ↑26 Nov 2023, 07:59At the same time don't confuse ambition to dominate with regional integration, Isayas is never from the camps of regional integrator, he is against all forms of integration, he wants to dominate. Did you ask BTW how we are going to feed 20 000 000? And you are from Ethiopia? Funny!

It seems fun is in a good supply on the other side of the Mereb river, it is only the truth that is in shortage.justo wrote: ↑27 Nov 2023, 03:37It makes no difference, Eritreans have no interest in "integration" whether genuine or based on personal ambitionDefendTheTruth wrote: ↑26 Nov 2023, 07:59At the same time don't confuse ambition to dominate with regional integration, Isayas is never from the camps of regional integrator, he is against all forms of integration, he wants to dominate. Else an entity which couldn't feed 3 Million can never aspire to cater for the need of 20 Million, while many from the 3 Million itself are looking for all possible gateways to be out, seen rationally.
Yes, I am from Ethiopia, the country from where no one ever wants to migrate to current day Eritrea, pardon, North Korea of Africa, I mean. In comparison many still wish to come to Ethiopia from the other direction. But truth is in a short-supply, like I said, on your part of the world.
