The government has set a direction to build a strong army that can protect the country's sovereignty and unity of the state. According to this, regional special forces have started to carry out practical activities that can allow them to enter different security structures.
Members of special forces found in all regions can be included in the military, federal police or regional police as per their choice. There has been an agreement with the leaders and members of the special forces on this issue. All regional leaders have studied it earlier, and the results have been reached an agreement with no difference. Our people have been asking for this to be done. A practical movement has been started following this.
The decision to include regional special forces in different security structures and practical activities will be based on research. This approach has a great benefit to gather our economic capacity and improve the training, weapons and living conditions of our army. Understanding this, the process is being carried out in all regions with understanding and discussion.
However, in some of the special forces in Amhara region, on the one hand, there have been acts of failure to understand the reorganization and purpose, and on the other hand, by the false information spread by the false news spread by the false agenda of destruction.
Among the false agendas that are circulating, the reorganization program is only taking place in the Amhara region. How can the special force of the region be disarmed before TPLF is disarmed and others. These agendas are being breathed by forces that want to hinder the process.
A program to transfer regional special force members to other security structures will be implemented throughout the country. The work is being carried out in all regions at the same time. The government is leading the process with research, planning and carefulness. The national defense force has taken steps to ensure peace and security in the regions while the process of importing to other security structures is carried out.
On the other hand, it should be known that TPLF is fully disarmed according to the Pretoria agreement. The process of disarming TPLF is based on the signed agreement without compromise and not something that goes against other country plans.
The main objective of the process is not to disarm any special force. The special force is armed and has a better ability to join the regional police, federal police or the national defense force.
The government will make necessary arrangements to ensure that any special force member does not want to be included in this process and return to normal civilian life. It is obvious that he supports the establishment.
The reorganization of regional special forces is a decision made by the government for the sake of the country's long-lasting welfare and security so it will carry out its responsibility with great care. Therefore, the government urges all the people as well as the regional special force leaders and members to work together for the success of the program by avoiding false information spread by different destructive agendas
