የኤርትራ መንግሥት ከፍተኛ ወታደራዊ ልኡክ፡ ከኢትዮጵያ ፌዴራላዊ ኃይሎች ከፍተኛ አመራር ጋር የእራት ግብዣ አደረጉ። በሥነ ሥርዓቱ ላይ ባደረጉት ንግግር ብርጋዴር ጀነራል አብርሃ ካሳ “ኤርትራ በሕወሓት ጥቃት ከተሰነዘረ በኋላ የበኩሏን ሚና መጫወትና ሕግን ለማስከበር መሥራት ነበረባት። በፕሪቶሪያ ስምምነት ላይ፡ ‘‘ኤርትራ በኢትዮጵያ ላይ ሰላም ማምጣት ትችላለች ስምምነቱ መሬት ላይ ተግባራዊ ከሆነ’’ ሲል ያለ ቀጠሮ ተናግሯል። ፊልድ ማርሻል ብርሃኑ ጁላ በስነስርዓቱ ላይ ባደረጉት ንግግር፡ “የኤርትራ ህዝብ፣ መንግስት እና ሰራዊት ከህወሀት ከጀርባ ሆነው የሰጡት ድጋፍ ሊጠገን የማይችል ብቻ ሳይሆን በሁለቱም ሀገራት የታሪክ መጽሃፍ ውስጥ ለዘላለም የሚጻፍ ነው። በምንም ሃይል ሊሰበር አይችልም” ብለዋል። ከዚያም የኤርትራ የስለላ ክፍል ኃላፊ ብ/ጄ አብርሃ ካሳ ከአዲስ አበባ ቀነኒባ ወ/ሮ አዳነሽ አቤቤ ጋር ተገናኙ።
