Let’s all pray for those who were subjected to deal with loss of life in their families and has to go through agonizing spiritual crisis, especially the mothers who hold the church dear.

I know the fanatics on all sides are disappointed as they want the madness to go on and that’s unfortunate.

Now that the people have breathing room, they have to look inside the leadership, religious and political. People should demand the highest moral standards from their leaders, especially religious leaders.

The church leadership should rise up and take this opportunity to facilitate internal review and evaluation of Synod members in order to cleanse itself from those who engage in sickening levels of corruption, bring politics into the church, preach war, promote hate and collaborate in war crimes and crimes against humanity.

This will strengthen the church’s moral standing and it will also bring legitimacy by ALL people from EVERY corners of the country.

The Synod is being very foolish for continuing to demand the law of the church (One Synod) to be respected without reforming itself to be INCLUSIVE. It has to prioritize its SPIRITUAL mission over control of economic resources and political power for the leadership. This Synod just can’t go on by sidelining the North where it all originated and the south where there is huge potential to spread its teachings.

With that, I say this is not time for celebrating. The OPDO leadership went straight to damage control noticing that this could go out of hand and chose to calm it. But no doubt there that they will come back to it better prepared. The synod of course can't do what OPDO will do. They have to sit and wait.

Other political groups need to take measures on preparing to counter OPDO moves. This doesn't include TPLF. We have seen TPLF buት clapping for OPDO effectively putting itself in a junior partner position to OPDO. What a turn around

The peaceful PM mediated and brought unity and peace between previously divided church clergy factions.
