What biltsigina and OLf did to afan oromo is a disservice. instead of promoting it in a peaceful manner through culture, music, literature, charity...etc, they chose to force it on people. And when you force people, the outcome is always rejection. Also if you start your project with a negative tone, the outcome is always negative. For instance, they made a political decision to use latin aiming to cut ties Oromos had with their Ethiopian brothers (Amhara, Gurage, Tigre...etc) calling it abyssinian and by extention Geez being colonizer language. This negative tone will make people hate Afan Oromo to because people tend to respect yours only if you respect theirs

OLFs are the only enemy of Oromo. Language is a choice, not an imposition. If there were demand for it, Oromifa would have been chosen along time ago in the market. Social intercourse and communication is governed by the law of free market. If one presents something that has no demand and taste for it no one will buy, even when handed out for free. No amount of incentive and coercion yield any result. People are conscious consumer and invest their time for something that has results. People do not see any value addition for complying to coercion. People will grow stiff resistance and use silent boycott to stop it or just make useless like an apedix. An appendix has no value or utility, that is what the OLF's imposition will result in.

Janbo Jote has encapsulated why Oromfia will remain a retarded language. Let alone gaining new Oromofiaa language speakers, those who learn it would not speak it. Mogassists hate politics have made Orommuffia a language of cruelty and savagery. A disservice to the good Oromo people.

This opinion poll in such a brief time generated a high response rate. The result so far substantially suggest all of the facts listed turned off Ethiopians interest either to learn or speak of Oromifa. This should inform any concerned entity imposing something without any feasibility and exploratory studies and feedback results in miserable failure, at times the failure could go as far as challenging the existence of the project itself. It is always wise to think of several times before hitting a dead end in the journey. That is what is happening to agitated OLF.

In reality, you guys for the most part have a deep-seated fear and hatred of the Oromo, so seeing the Oromo language be side by side with Amharic gets you guys emotional like a woman during that time of the month.
Although I disagree with forcing anything, it's overdue. Better late than never though
Afaan Oromo should definitely be a working language of Ethiopia alongside Amharic and a few more languages.
Amharic was forced upon our ancestors, not in a "peaceful way" through music, culture, charity, etc, yet none of that is mentioned. Interesting indeed!
You guys love the food, water and overall resources that Oromia and Oromo produce but hate the Oromo people. Similar to how your hero haile Selassie is reported to have said he only wanted Eritreas land not the people.
Cry online all Day If you guys want, insult us from the safety of being behind a computer like the cowards you are, but the Oromo language is here to stay. It survived much worse in the history of the Ethiopian empire so arguing about its viability is just showing how delusional you guys are.

First, ask your self this question. Why out of all the 85 ethnic groups do Ethiopians single out and hate Oromo? I do not think any Ethiopian hates Oromo. There is nothing special about Oromo and also there is nothing Oromia possessed other do not. Oromo are as dirt poor as the rest of Ethiopia. However, most Ethiopians hate OLF that pretends to be Oromo. Why would one be forced to be taught Oromifa while he/she does not need it at all? Is it not a violation of freedom and personal right to force one to speak or learn? If the language were fit, it would have been picked up a long time ago. At this time what is being known Ethiopians rejected the imposition and they will not take it their hearts - that means it will remain stunted.
