You are 100% right.

Abiy AQhmed is following Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Did you know what Erdoğan did after he come to power?
Erdogan systematically destroyed all politcal oppositions and his opponents. In addition to that, Erdogan built the most expensive palace in Turke's histor as soon as he become presidant of the country.

Abiy Ahmed is exactly following Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan model.

I am sure days ago you have heared Abiy Ahmed talking about his plan to build a new Place on forested hilltop on the edge of Addis Ababa.

To My surprise i found out now that Turkey's President Erdogan build his expensive palace on forested hilltop on the edge of Ankara

Both Abiy Ahmed's PP and Erdogan's AK Party use the same logo, bright Lightbulb, for their election campagn

Do you see who is Abiy Ahmed copying from?

Please read this book and found out the similarity of Abiy Ahmed and Erdogan.

True. Abiy's models are not any of African or Western leaders. He is deeply into Islamic taste and style. I think his real ideal is Aba Jiffar of Jimma . A couple of years ago I thought that probably he was modeling after Menelik as nation builder behave like Kemal Ataturk (unifier) and I think I was wrong. We still have to see where he is going to go with the current ethnocrtic kleptocracy.

Today Ermiyas Legesse mentions how Abiy uses his friend's money to finance his projects. Those are what his oligarchs. True. The palace on top of the British embassy is financed by those oligarchs, that is why he told the parliament that his palace was none of their business.

Yesterday, Abe Abraham asked on this Forum why US doesn't trust Abiy Ahmed. Well, one of the reason is his close association with Turkey, Russia China, the Emirates rather than the west. It could also be has African ambitions . In my view the source of his downfall is his failure to get rid of ethnocracy. It problems are internal and domestic. Internally weak regime is a low hanging fruit for external enemies. US/EU know his weakness.
