EU and US officials have convinced Abey's government that offering the remaining leaders of tplf a safe route to the Sudan and EU and US will help these leaders to settle in their choice of country is the only worktable solution to end the war soon enough so humanitarian assistance could reach to people of Tigray affected by the 6 month long war.
US and EU officials have been convinced that Tplf is weakened and it doesn't have the military capacity to return to power or be a power to be reckon with in Ethiopian politics than waging a war of attrition that will only ptolong the agony of the people of Tigray.
The US and EU officials have communicated Ambassadors Feseha and Berhane of their offer first and now they iare in direct contact with remaining top tplf officials like Debretsion, Werede and Tsadqan.
Despite Debretsion's recrnt defiant message to his followers, the recent onslaught waged by Eritrean and Ethiopian forces on tplf has devastated the already weakened tplf forces who are jumping from one mountain to another to save whatever is left in their ranks and files.
