Tigrayans are their own worst enemy for the simple reason that their distorted view of reality makes them commit huge blunders and their inability to learn from their mistakes makes them take huge risks that have little gain. I will deal only with latter aspect of their social character. They never learn from their mistakes because they never admit they made a mistake in the first place. I am not talking about public admission but about admitting to themselves that they erred and taking steps not to repeat their mistakes. This is a deep psychological flaw which emanates from inferiority complex.
Only 8 months ago, they lost hundreds of thousands of their youth while trying to go to Addis. They were roundly routed and you'd expect that they would be very careful not to repeat that kind of blunder. But they never admitted even to themselves that they were defeated. That was too much for their brittle psyche. Instead, they kept coming up with bizarre explanations, basically lying to themselves and their people, for why they withdrew from Debre Berhan to Mekele. It was thus inevitable that they would repeat the blunder which has now brought them to the brink of extinction.
Not that I am complaining. I just want to rub it in. I am in a celebratory mood and enjoying the music of my teen-age days!

Why Do Tigrayans Find it Difficult to Learn From their Mistakes!
Simple! When you suffer from deep inferior complexity, nothing works and you never learn form your past, you don't plane B and you don't care about your own people.
