The 10 billion dollar includes Ethiopans Airlines revenue from it's global operation( about USD 4billion) . The Airlines spends most of it's revenue in foreign currency ( more than 90 %); on fuel,
aircraft related debt servicing , lease payments and running it's global operation. Even Foreign pilots are paid in hard currency. Therefore , it will be misleading to lump it with export related goods and other services like Telecom, bank services etc, which may have lower percentage of foreign currency content as part of their costs.
