TPLF has been more Eritrean than Tigrayan-Ethiopian since Meles Zenawi and Sebhat Nega took control of TPLF in 1989 as the result of which many leaders of Tigrayan origin were removed from TPLF and from power in Ethiopian government. Meles Zenawi and Sebhat Nega killed many Tigrayan military officers. General Hayelom was assassinated in Addis Abeba by an Eritrean with the full knowledge Ethiopia's security. His wife was recently assassinated by Sebhat Nega.

This has led to Tigrayans being inactive and not participating in Tigray's future. The current genocide and destruction of Tigray was assisted by TPLF leaders of Eritrean origin, Sebhat Nega, Qudisan Nega, Debretsion Gebremichael and all The Sebhat Nega dynasty. Eritrea's army assassinated Foreign Minister and Ambassador Seyoum Mesfin, Minister Abay Tsehaya and Parliamentarian Asmelash in ISIS style and their fotos have been circulating in the media. Seyoum Mesfin, Abay Tsehaye and Asmelash were Tigrayans. They were purposely assassinated by Eritrean spies as they were Tigrayans. For us Tigrayans, it is a sacrifice we have to pay and for us Mesfin Seyoum, Abay Tsehaye and Asmelash are heros. Eritreans in TPLF like Debretsion, Sebhat Nega continue to backstab Tigrayan memebers of TPLF and the wider Tigray people. The lack of transparency and accountability makes it easier for Eritreans in TPLF to sabotage TDF and the resistance of Tigray people against genocide by Eritrea and Ethiopia. For example, the assassination of General's Hayelom's wife recently should have been brought as a case for investigation at least. But Sebhat Nega and other Eritreans in TPLF contnue to hide this crime from Tigray people.

What we see now is the same pattern we have been observing in the 30 years of TPLF rule in Tigray. TDF which is mainly the extension of TPLF is too soft on Eritreans invading Ethiopia and Tigray. Specially, TDF is too soft on Eritrean army. We call TDF to replace it's leaders with Tigray-Ethiopians. Otherwise, Tigray will have to create underground Tigryan organisation as it is too much at stake if we continue Eritreans in TPLF to decide for Tigrayans which are facing total extermination by Eritrea and Ethiopia (Amhara mainly).
