He is doing the right thing. Bin Eritrea to the drain and focus on uniting Ethiopians based on liberal form of federalism. Issayas cheated Abiy. Issayas had another agenda of genociding Tigray by destroying infrastructure and starving the population to death. As long as USA supports Abiy and follows their advice, he might rule Ethiopia for next 10 years. Tigray is not interested in Abiy being killed as long he distances from Eritrea and defends Ethiopia.

I also do believe Abiy has the potential to be a great Ethiopian leader. To be however he needs a grand vision. A vision that transforms Ethiopia. That couldn’t be done with the design of the last thirty years of Ethiopian politics. It has been the politics that introduced corruption to a degree that undermines the very survival of the country. It has been a politics which produced thousands of college students who couldn’t read the diploma they were awarded. It has been the politics of hate which has agitated Ethiopians against Ethiopians. It has been the politics of hate which restricted Ethiopians right to move within their country as they wish. It has been a politics that turned universities to be an extension of the hatred the ethnic politics movers and shakers created.
Yes, Abiy has the potential to be a great Ethiopian leader. It is not though by following the hate-filled politics of the last thirty years. He will be a great Ethiopian leader not by dividing Ethiopians along ethnic lines rather by uniting them.

this is what every time that get me not by dividing Ethiopians along ethnic lines rather by uniting them. what the hell it means.? can u explain to me is that to make them all Amhric speaker and no one talk about his ethnic.. is that what you r saying .. which every way u wanted to say it no one listen to u. no ethnic will accept u so what r u going to do wage a war to make them one united Ethiopia ? u see u wanted one united Ethiopia but u dont want to pay the price of peace and unity.

here is an example i want to give u there are 80 guest coming to ur home to have a tea. what is the best way to peppered the tea. to my understanding there is only one way u dont know what 80 of your guest want some of them want tea with milk , some of them want two tea spoon sugar them more some none so many want how u make everyone happy by not putting the sugar in to the tea. u make the red tea without milk and sugar and your provide the sugar and the tea let the each and every guest make their own tea they way they like ... even better give them only hot water and let them make their own tea ... but if u make tea the way our mother used to make u will have a problem which way u look at it..

the same way keep everyone separated under regional system and keep them united under fed system... just like USA ... TX and NY have like two separate state or nation but they r one under fed system this is the best way to keep everyone happy.. not by wishing i wish there is no ethnic ... r u for real... i know what u try to say u want to live and work in oromia but u can as of today because narrow ethnic violence... this doesnt mean fed fail... u cant prefect fed system like xbox plug and play it take a long away... the American democracy only 60 years old even so the constitution write some 233 YEARS ago it took 200 years for the black American to get their full right .. the same way why we expect fed to work the same day we said we r fed system it take a long long time... but fed system is the right one and we should stack with it and march and improve on it and correct the mistake we have no switch back to the old system... that we get ride of with million of bone and blood

Ethoash , you said a federalism system like the US is good to Ethiopia. I cannot agree more. But before you make that statement you should have known about the US federal system. I don’t think you do.
Just to give you a head up to think I offer this : I live in US for three decades and change. I have a permanent resident permit, but not a US citizen. Right now I could move to any state I want buy a house , a land, and anything. My sister who lives in Addis couldn’t fathom even for a second to move anywhere in Ethiopia to do what I able to do in US.

We think TDF should ally with political groups that stand for interests of Tigray and other non-Amara Ethiopians. Thus TDF will work with Abiy Ahmed Ali, if he is serious. What TDF said 6 months ago should be seen in the context of war developments then. Now TDF has more army and more advanced weaponry.

Personally I do not see any thing wrong with Abiy Ahmed Ali leading Ethiopia. He was cheated by Issayas and UAE. Now positive developments have emerged dramatically. Abiy Ahmed Ali is independent of Eritrean troops, who were giving him commands, extending even to his personal life. I believe a coalition government with PP ( Abiy's party), OLF, TDF , Agaw Democratic party and others is the solution. We need to get Eritrea, Egypt and Sudan out of Ethiopia's internal affairs. We know Issayas is an agent of Egypt. Issayas does not stand stand for a united Ethiopia as Egypt does not want to see a strong united. A liberal federal system where regions are more autonomous in many branches of government could be the first step. Ethiopian cannot be united under Amara elite's domination of politics, economics and culture. What the unionist seem to forget is, they stand for unjit with a domination one tribe Amara or Tigray or Oromo. We need to garantee equality amonth all ethnic groups, that thye are safe to travel and will not be killed by Amara extremists. Issaya tries to form a united Ethiopia under the domination of Amara, which will lead to more blood shed - a thing Egypts and Sudan want to see. We remove Issayas Afewoqiti surgically from Ethiopia's body politic. When Tigray is attacked, we expect the Federal Parliament to condem Eritrea and ask Eritrea to with draw it's troops from Tigray borders. None has happened yet!
