Yesterday, during his meeting with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed, Sisi affirmed, "Egypt's condemnation of any terrorist act committed by the Houthi militia to target the security, stability and safety of the UAE and its citizens," according to a statement by the Egyptian presidency.

Al-Sisi stressed "Egypt's support for all the measures taken by the UAE to deal with any terrorist act targeting it, within the framework of Egypt's firm position in supporting the security and stability of the United Arab Emirates, and in light of the close link between Egyptian national security and the security of the Emirates."

El-Sisi added that Egypt "is keen to develop close bilateral cooperation and coordination, for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples and the Arab nation, especially by intensifying the pace of bilateral meetings between senior officials of the two countries on a regular basis for active and mutual coordination towards the successive developments currently taking place in the Middle East, and strengthening Unity of ranks and joint Arab and Islamic action in facing various regional challenges.

    The visit also confirmed Egypt's standing by the UAE and its support in all the measures and steps it takes to ensure its security and sovereignty in the face of the sinful Houthi aggression that contravenes all international laws and norms.

    Al-Sisi stressed that his visit to the UAE came as a continuation of the close and distinguished relations that bind the two countries and what unites them from a single destiny and future.

    In this context, President El-Sisi reiterated the Egyptian government and people's solidarity with the UAE as a result of the recent terrorist incident, which resulted in the death and injury of a number of civilians.

    Condemning the terrorist activities of the Houthi militia

    He also affirmed Egypt's condemnation of any terrorist act committed by the Houthi militia to target the security, stability and safety of the UAE and its citizens, and his country's support for all measures taken by the UAE to deal with any terrorist act targeting it.

    The messages come at a time when military cooperation between the two countries is increasing, in the interest of supporting, security and stability in the region, and raising the level of efficiency of the armed forces of the two countries. The past few years have witnessed many discussions and maneuvers to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
