The biggest problem facing Agames is not the devastating defeat they have suffered, the hundreds of thousands who have perished, all the lost territories, the wasted billions, the quarantine, the death of their economy or the long term consequences of their idiotic war with all their neighbours. All of that they can handle: They have been taking punishment for millennia. Their name after all spells Chigray. What they cannot handle is the psychological damage to their very fragile psyche. Simply put, their inferiority complex cannot handle the defeat. They will persist to deny reality even if they have to come up with the ridiculous claim that they are leaving willingly.
Normally, there should come a time when they have to explain what happened to the tens of thousands who have become fertilizer during the voluntary tactical retreat. But Agame people are not normal. They may prefer to remain silent than ask such awkward questions that will expose their defeat!
