I think this is a very important question we all need to entertain. The soldiers are courageous and battle hardened but the military and political leadership is something that we all are wondering about. Several accounts of the war as being told by the soldiers is very indicative of the sabotage, incompetence and lack of resolve by the leadership. Most importantly though, the fear that the kind of change that might come to the political order in the country after the burial of TPLF is costing much the the country in real time. Now that the march to Addis is made far easier
for TPLF than heading to Gondar, we could probably see some course correction.

sebdoyeley,
How is this question difficult to you, my brother? ENDF has been led by TPLF. Of course Ethiopians are brave, there is no question about that. In military, you have to follow the command from your commander. The ENDF commanders have been TPLF. That is too obvious. By the way when was we heard the ENDF air force helped the Wollo Amhara farmers? Just las two weeks, yet the air force was busy all summer season in Afar and Gondar area. This is pure sabotage, okay. Wollo people have been fighting TPLF for about 7 months, can you believe whereas Abiy Ahmed was chillaxing letting TPLF rats steal Dessie and Komblocha, the biggest economic power of Amhara region. Why do you think he did that? Because his government has no enough modern guns to arm Amhara? Or there were no volunteer Amhara Fano to recruit? Man, this obvious, by tying Amhara feet and hands inviting the most coward Tigre rats loot, kill, burn and turn Amhara economy into ash. Sometimes, we have to talk straight.

I doubt you were a military man but there are certain rules in the military. there is no such as coward people in the world all depended on the action of the Generals that lead them to the battlefield. this must be clear.
but in military rule, If your unit leader put you in a bad situation while there was another plenty better position.
1, try to convince him or let him know the best or reasonable place or action immediately.
2, all you have to do is follow the order but after the fact, you can sue the unit leader with evidence that he is knowingly putting the lives of his unit in a harmful way, and the unit has no further trust in him,
you can demand to remove him even court-martial him.
so nobody said the Ethiopian Army is a coward, what we say is somehow, somewhere is broken the chain of command on the Ethiopian army in general.
