A War Over Control Of The Political Center In Addis Ababa Itself

Post by Somaliman » 01 Nov 2021, 14:37

Ethiopia was boasting about an economic growth over the past decade, approaching double digits annually, leaving much of the rest of Africa behind, and this was expected to lead the country to peace and stability.

But conflict in Tigray has suddenly opened a Pandora's box that's striking at the heart of Ethiopian statehood, as the outcome of the war is impacting the whole country and its wider politics.

What has started to be a simple military conflict in Tigray seems now to becoming a war over control of the political center in Addis Ababa itself.

This war is nothing but a result of Ethiopia's sheer failure in addressing and tackling its interethnic relations.

I know that you are not a man of few words. Would you mind elaborating on " addressing and tackling its interethinc relations " ? What does that have to do with the Tigrayans insisting on returning to Addis to rule Ethiopia ? Thanks.
