Perhaps one of the vast resources that Ethiopia has at its disposal right now is the untapped in human capital (around 70% of the population is under 30 years old). If deployed well this resource can potentially and fundamentally change the future of the country in a big and positive way. This potential was alluded to by PM Abiy Ahmed immediately or even before becoming the country's PM. We are sitting over big potentials, but we failed to use the potentials in many different fields so far.

In this video the speakers allude to project activities that were finished in the last year by the so called volentary work of the mostly youth section of the society and worth of more than 5 Billion ET Birr, in the last fiscal year.

Ethiopia has successfully mobilized its resources towards engineering its future development.

They plan now to increase the work to even more than 5 folds of the last year achievement (to over 25 Billion ET Birr). The Federal government allocation of budget for the region for the coming year is about 69 Billion ET Birr, for a comparison. This gives us a big hope for our people and its future.
