Thanks to the popularity of PM Abiy, PP destroys opposition parties in the election
PM Abiy has now a clear mandate and a huge popular support to accelerate even further the reforms he started.
This is a huge win for the PM and a referendum for his reform agenda. He has now the mandate to complete this reforms.
The opposition seem to accept the defeat knowing very well there is't much to be disputed except less than 300 polling stations out of 40,000.
They should now work with the government to be a constructive opposition and prepare themselves for the next election in 5 years.
Good that now all opposition parties know their rightful place.
Congrats to PM Abiy for wining the election hands down!

Was TPLFs popular when they won 100%? Fake elections did not save TPLF from being overthrown with popular movement and it will not save Abiy Ahmed either!!

Bring hard facts or shut up!
PM Abiy won hands down even the opposition Ezema and ABN are not disputing that PP won by a landslide.

Congratulations for the peaceful and fair election and big win to the PP. Now Dr. Abiy solidifying his People’s Support which means he will not intimidating by the West.
By the way I figured out that the EU or US knew this that he will have popular support through fair elections there fore the only chance they had to undermined by not sending observers. I think they were beating in their own game. Good for Ethiopians.

You are comparing apples and oranges. Voting in the TPLF fake election never lasted more than 3-4 hours because no one goes to polling stations. In contrast in the current election people were lining up from early 5 am to 11 pm to cast their ballots. Voting hours were extended to accommodate the huge turn out. In every polling station, opposition representative were part of the counting process. In fact no counting was allowed without the participation of opposition observers. They had to agree and sign the results.Noble Amhara wrote: ↑10 Jul 2021, 18:04Was TPLFs popular when they won 100%? Most importantly if the millions of Ethiopians felt betrayed by the result they will go out to the streets and protest but none of this will happen because the result reflects their vote.
The TPLF is a sham election and don't even deserve its name.
In this election even the opposition are praising the election board and accepting their defeat.
Only the TPLF cadres and the toxic diaspora are crying foul, not even Ezema and ABN are disputing the landslide win.
ABN praising election board.

Tayye Danda'a can win against you in all aspects using only his small left hand finger and then calling you the lost N!'ger. Otherwise you can not find such a free and fair election even in countries boasting of some 500 to 200 democratic election practical experiences. For you democracy means taking over the state power through the barrels of guns. And that is what you have been shopping for all over the places but failed miserably when your mentors Halafi & Thomas spanked their heads against the wall and lost control over themselves.tolcha wrote: ↑10 Jul 2021, 17:29temari wrote: ↑10 Jul 2021, 17:00PM Abiy has now a clear mandate and a huge popular support to accelerate even further the reforms he started.

Go and participate in the next coming free and fair election and if you have enough support you may join the parliament and tell your story.

Eden, the relentless digital warrior the news is old, but since you brought it up let me say something. As temari wrote on his headline the popularity of Abiy might have tilted the scale so that the opposition parties were in disadvantage. But I do believe there is one fact that temari overlooked : during conflict voters are reluctant to change leadership. The Abiy’s party was smart enough to play the voters hesitation to trade horse in a time of war to its advantage.
