We all remember how the house of federation many times rejected the request from the wolkait committee to intervene saying the federal government can only intervene if the local state government accepts the request of the wolkait committee and it sent them back to Mekele. The new law allows the federal government to directly intervene and this law was introduced 4 days ago just after the election has ended. The law gives the federal government to protect the rights of people if they request it and if the kilil fails to respect their rights.
