One of the reasons why useless corrupt dictators, such as Ismail Omar Guelle, last long in Africa, is because they're supported by influential minority groups often through tribal affiliations. These minority groups often tend to have been milking the system too at the expense of the rest of the population. Therefore, they feel compelled to sugarcoat their dictator and keep them in place as long as possible for their own partisan gains, to protect the continuation of their survival and corrupt selfish interests,
