If not anybody else, why was it not Kenia?

Are the kenians suffering from some kind of inferiority complex when it comes to the case of Ethiopia?

I read somewhere before a decade or so about a certain Kenian Athletics trainer commenting something like "Defeating Ethiopia in the field of Athletics in the long run" as the key strategic goal of his country's athletics body. In fact the profile of Kenian Athletics has risen since then on the international athletics avenue, whether by design or mere coincedence.

Before that I met a certain Kenian co-student in a foreign university and we chatted and in his conversation the guy openly said to me "is Ethiopia an African", I was shocked and don't even remember how I replied to the guy. But I have never forgotten the mement and will never forget in the future, I think.

I remembered about these things after I read somewhere today that Kenia is currently one of the non permanent members of the UNSC, which reportedly convened yesterday to discuss about the internal affairs of Ethiopia. If Ethiopia were to be condemned for its rightful measures of ensuring the law and order of the country by the body, then I can't find any more parallel than the fateful day when the forerunner of the current UN, the so called League of Nations, failed our country and its rulers back then, during the Italian invasion and occupation of our country.

I am now bemused more about Kenia's position on the issue at hand than about the UNSC decision to discuss about the internal affairs of an independent and member state of the UN, after I heard in the news the report that the meeting was ended without an agreement since Russia, China and India disagreed with the meeting's ajenda of discussing the internal affair of a member state.

What did Kenia say about it and what was its position on the issue?

I heard or read somewhere recently that Joe Biden called the Kenian President to discuss about the internal affairs of Ethiopia, which was in the media.

In this case does it mean Kenia opted to side with the American President to get involved in the internal affairs of its own neighbouring state? If this is the case, then when is Africa going to be a force to reckon with?

Does Africa have a curse?
