Sometimes We Speak Our Future Into Existence
I wrote this poem almost 5 years ago, right as my life was crumbling apart and I was heading into the abyss of homelessness. But where many gave up on me and the closest to me abandoned me, my father in heaven did not leave my side. I ended up going through the fire as the flames of hopelessness licked my sides and the fires of loneliness baptized me in the tears of depression. But those who know my story know that this is not a sad story, to the contrary, this is my testimony. May this be the testimony of humanity, after going through the darkenss, may we emerge on the other side of lite and love. Amen.
