Why do TPLF and OLF leaders speak about multinational federation even though there are no nations in Ethiopia? Ethiopia is a country, a nation state with different language communities or ethnic groups.
TPLF and OLF should either follow the scientific and object underdevelopment of Ethiopia or they will be binned to history as worthless, ignorant leaders. Oromo has never been a nation. Itis a primitive ethnic group. so are Tigray or Somali or Afar.
The domination of Tigray in the last 30 years was destructive. So was the amhara domination of Ethiopia in the last 100 years. The Amhara at least made Addis Ababa , their capital, a metro-pol even though they were ruled by Tigray. TPLF on the other hand underdeveloped Tigray. Elementary school coverage in Tigray is the lowest in the country. TPLF corrupt leaders were diverting the money for other projects or personal wealth. Education is the basis of development as it forms citizens. Educated citizens create jobs, change their environment and are able to get engaged in international business, where money grows.
We need to stand for a democratic Ethiopia where all ethnic groups have a chance to promote their culture and language. For instance, The Silte people or tribe are different from Oromo or Amhara. The Silte people are relatively small in number but have much more wealth than Amhara or Oromo due to their culture of promoting business. Thus the Silte should get a chance to develop their culture or tradition other wise they will have to live like the amhara or Oromo, who have quite a different culture.
Ethiopia's ethnic groups should be co-dominant. The Amharic language should not be the working language in Ethiopia as non-Amhara Ethiopians will loose their culture. As every one knows, language is important for music. Somali music is beautiful and Somali dance more ordered and lovely than the jumping moves of Amhara, which reflects their Bantu origin. Somali will have to teach their children in Somali language and this should be actively promoted.
For example, Ali Birra's music in Amharic is beautiful. But this could have been much more beautiful in Somali language.
