I don't know how much they were involved in the whole of the operation but the little information i have says that they were deployed to only the border areas to the Amhara region.

If this is true, then their main mission was to avenge and there by reclaim the territory they considered was taken from them.

Then they turned around and claimed themselves about grabbing power at the regional level and start calling themselves deputy Administrator and responsible for the security of the area they forcefully occupied. This was how they were involved in the law enforcement operation, for your Amhara liyu hail.

For the record, according to many observers and testimonies of those directly involved in the operation itself a difference was made due to the way the national army was reformed and made to be efficient in the last over 2 and half years.

Commanders of the republican guard, of the national airforce, of the other units all said if the reform was not made the war could have been lost or could have been very costy to win.

Now, there are counterclaims of giving a big role to the Amhara liyu hail. I have nothing agains the liyu hail's deployment but distorting facts on the ground is not helpful for the future of the country, in my view.
