The number of 'PhDs' that were produced in Ethiopia's universities during woyane's almost three decades reign is staggering. The empirical evidence to the quality of the education system or to the qualification of the students that have been admitted to these higher education institutes can be viewed through the caliber of the so-called 'intellectuals' we have been seeing in the media and social media. If the so-called Tigrian intellectuals were to be taken as the qualitative indicator, I'm afraid King Leopold of Belgium would be delighted to see a generation 'who learned how to read, but not how to think'.
