Dr. Abiy should have nominated Colonel Demeqe as the new Tigrayan Administor rather than the Nega dude. Reason, simple. Up until the solution of the welqait situation is resolved, concede something to ease the situation. Longterm solution that may solve the problem would be to unite the amhara region with Tigray. Revise the law of the land or make welqait an independent zonal administrate element. But, the biggest hurdle would be to align Amhara and Oromo interests in administrative zonal or kilil situations.
