This man''s inane twitts are the most off-the-cuff comment with no relevance to what is going on in the ground. Except for his previous position in state department, he has no relevance to what is happening in Africa. He may have a good connection in the state department etc -- and as a lobbyist, he may be can play role for the money to push an agenda but he is the most detached person to make a comment about the African continent in general and the horn of Africa in particular.

edina agamina,

Herman Cohen made a very stupid tweet. Because at this point there is no way that Abiy can abandon the military option and negotiate with Debretsion even if he wanted to. Do you think that the Ethiopian military or the Ethiopian people would let him do it. No way. So Herman Cohen must be going gaga. He is, I think 90 years old, and as such not in the right frame of mind. The only solution Ethiopians will accept is the total obliteration of the TPLF thugs many of whom are angry that Abiy gave the rats 72 hours.

In fact, the very question that should be asked is why Cohen is so consumed in Ethiopian politics, with a failing grade in understanding it I might add.
When Abiy declared the red line was crossed, Cohan warned the “ battle hardened “ Tigreans are more than a match to Ethiopian army.
Now, we found a totally different Cohen. He is for peace. He sensed the TPLF is dying, and he wanted to save it. Why ? Is he in the payroll of TPLF ? It is increasingly seems so.
