What a touching story!

Post by DefendTheTruth » 20 Oct 2020, 04:08

"Internationally-acclaimed Ethiopian and British poet, playwright, and broadcaster Lemn Sissay joins us to talk about his memoir “My Name Is Why”.

What questions do you have for him?" wrote Aljazeera.

For him the very sad early life story ended in an uplifting life of his own personal accomplishment, but it will not go the same way for all, unfortunately.

Lemn Sissay was named Norman Greenwich and subjected to harsh condition, which no parent would wish his own child, but his foster parents thought he was cared for well, perhaps.

Lemn Sissay MBE[1] (born 21 May 1967)[2] is an English author and broadcaster. Sissay was the official poet of the 2012 London Olympics, has been chancellor of the University of Manchester since 2015, and joined the Foundling Museum's board of trustees two years later, having previously been appointed one of the museum's fellows. He was awarded the 2019 PEN Pinter Prize. He has written a number of books and plays.
