I don’t think there was anything signed — like punching TPLF to death — between Eritrea and PP. Abiy didn't betray Eritrea. Eritrea didn't get into any agreement with Abiy led government.
The testimony to this is an Ethiopian general (his name escapes me now) commented about
the Eritrean army entering Tigray unannounced to fry the TPLF army.
In November 2020 Eritrea took a decisive action to cripple TPLF beyond repair in order to
remove or at least minimise a threat that may be posed by the evil TPLF in the future.
If Eritrea didn't take that action at that time we would all now be suffering from the consequences.
Thanks to the quick thinking of the Eritrean army, it took the right action at the right time.
Abiy benefitted from that action and the rest is history.
