Well, this confirms what Ethiopians have known for three decades. It is almost impossible to use election and TPLF in the same sentence.
All who chose to participate in the election are Tigreans . One righty assumes all have the very interest of Tigreans though might differ how to achieve it.
The Sebhat dynasty however does not see it that way.
The very idea of having an alternative politics is an enigma to them. In their mind TPLF is the truth. Truth is absolute ; by its nature election is not.
Why then they chose to have an election ? A simple, childish political calculus.
Opposing the political stance of Abiy no matter what is their gospel now.
I have a feeling, a well-founded feeling, had Abiy and his party chosen not to postpone the election, the Sebhat dynasty would have shouted it was irresponsible to have an election when the virus was threatening the lives of millions.
Now, the election is over. And those who participated in it called the election a fraud even before the votes are counted.
What did TPLF benefit from the make-believe show ? Nothing. Two weeks from now no one will talk about it because there is really nothing to talk.
