He is absolutely right, Tigray is better off living with Laplanders than with bantugudifechas and gudelamharu, who are not compatible with Tigreans. Axumite cIvilization can be reborn only if Tahgarians ( the real Axumites)-meaning: Tigreans or Tegaru- are not distracted by babysitting these thankless people.
PS: Axumite Tahgarians, direct predecessor of today's Tigreans/Tegaru/Tigrawot, were the original deqebat/ landed/taxpaying/legal/central/quintessential membembers of the Axumite KIngdom that ruled the Axumite Empire.
Remember:The words Tegaru, Tigrawot, Tigray, etc are derived from the geez term Tahgarian, which means :deqebat, the real ones, the original, the civilized, the most important, the taxpaying, the landed, etc.
