Born from Tigrayan father and mother. He gave Eritreans freedom but became their colonial master for three decades. Died while in prison, lonely and abandoned by his best friend and disciple Abiy Ahmed, due to brain tumor. Died in 2020 in Asmara and will be buried in 2020 in Nakfa. Survived by his Ascaries die hard followers.
Major life accomplishment:
- Won Eritrean sovereignty but destroyed it to keep his promise to "Januhoi"
- Caused the death of thousands of Eritreans and Ethiopians
- Assisted his fellow Tigrayans to humiliate chauvinists but became their life time enemy due to jealousy
- Invented the phrase "TPLF game over" but died before he achieved it.
