The making of a dictator in the model of Isaias
When the young Abiy came to power about two years ago I had the feeling that he is the right person at the right time. I expected him to address the Oromo demands and stabilize Oromia and I also expected him to make peace with TPLF and stabilize the Federated Ethiopia. However, for reasons I do not understand he created unholy personal relationship with Isaias and ignored to take timely actions to stabilize Ethiopia. As of today Ethiopians don't know what agreement he agreed/signed with Isaias, with the sponsership of Arabs(Egypt at the back). Ethiopians also don't know the merit that prematurely entitled Abiy to be awarded the Nobel prize and who sponsered him for the prize. It looks there was an action plan that was prepared by external forces that was given to Abiy to implement and he had been promised to get a reward for that. The main reason claimed for Abiy to win the award was the Ethiopia- Eritirea agreement that no body knows and was not implemented on grass root level. As of today the border between Ethiopia and Eritirea is as tense as ever and any miscalculation could ignite a civil war that will destabilize the whole Horn of Africa. As of now Abiy is already a full fledged dictator modelled after Isaias and Col Mengistu and he has started killing and arresting any dessent voices.
