Lake Tana loses 670 square kilometers of its size to Emboch brought by Meshrefet and his bilgina party.
This has reduced the size of lake Tana by more than 20%, from 3665 sq Kilometers to a little under 3000 sq Kilometers. What Tana has lost so far, 670 sq Kilometers, is more than Lake Awasa and Lake Zway combined. The worst part of the bad news is that the Emboch is expanding every day and some Islands, such as cherqos, are now connected to nearby Land and no more inside Waterbody. The Embotch is also spreading into the Nile waters and may spready in to the GERD and obliterate it in just a few years of its life. Egypt will be the greatest loser if Nile dies following the death of Tana.
